Can the seller set the price? Base price and fixed price
For the administrator: decide, store by store, whether the seller can type the base price, the fixed price, both or neither in the quote.

Where to find it
In your account menu, under Prices, Discounts and limits tab, in the Can the seller set the price? section. Until 18/10/2026 it was under Commercial Rules. The What the seller can type, by store list has one row per store, with two switches in the The seller can set column: Base price and Fixed price.
If you administer only one store, the What the seller can type block appears with your store's name.
Base price and fixed price: the difference
A price the seller types can go into two places in the calculation:
- Fixed price: it's the final price: discounts stop at it. An item closed at R$ 10,00 goes out at R$ 10,00, with or without a discount on the order.
- Base price: it's the base: discounts run on top of it. An item with a base of R$ 10,00 on an order with a 10% discount goes out at R$ 9,00.
In the quote's item table, the base price is typed in the Table column and the fixed price in the Price column. A line with a base price gets the base badge.
The combinations of the two switches
- Both on: the seller chooses, item by item. The Comes preselected selector appears, which decides which of the two comes checked when they open the price field; out of the box it's Fixed price. "The seller can switch on each item": the selector restricts nothing, it only saves a click.
- Only one on: the seller only types that type of price. The other's cell stops being editable.
- Both off: "The seller doesn't type prices in this store." The typed price field leaves their screens.
There is no "at least one on" lock: turning both off is precisely how the store turns the feature off.
What still applies even with typed prices turned off
- The per-line discount (Item column) is still available, limited by the cap. See Seller's maximum discount: the per-store concession cap.
- Applying the price noted on the customer's document (the line's Use, and the price the seller writes over WhatsApp) is another matter, with its own setting. See Document price: the price the customer wrote next to the item.
- A line that already had a typed price can always go back to the table: the way out stays available even after the permission is turned off.
What applies to prices already entered
"Applies to what is typed from now on." Prices already entered on quotes stay as they are, including those of a price type you just turned off. If you need to undo them, it's line by line, on the quote.
What the seller sees when the store doesn't allow it
On the screens, the forbidden field simply doesn't open. If the price arrives through another path anyway, Vendria rejects the change with "This store doesn't allow the seller to set the base price." (or "the fixed price"), or, with both off, "This store doesn't allow the seller to set the line price."
If Comes preselected points to a type that was turned off, whatever is on applies: the sale doesn't get stuck because of it.
The typed price and the discount cap
The typed price goes through the store's cap. A fixed price below what the cap allows is rejected; a base price below the catalog adds the drop to the line's Item discount in the cap calculation.
Common questions
I want the seller to give discounts only in %, without typing prices. Turn off Base price and Fixed price on the store's row, and set the cap in Seller's maximum discount.
I turned it off and the old line still has the typed price. That's expected: the change applies from now on.
The seller clicks the price and nothing happens. The fixed price is turned off for that store, or the quote is no longer in Draft or Waiting.
