## Where to find it

In your account menu, under **Prices**, **Price tables** tab. The tab has two
cards:
**Price Tables**, with the store's tables, and **Price Rules**, with the
rules that say which group of customers uses which table.

A price table belongs to **one store**. In an organization with several stores, the store
selector in the corner of the card tells you which store's tables are on screen; there is no
"all stores".

## What a price table is

A price table is a list with one price per product, inside a store.
It lets you sell the same catalog at different prices: by state (different ICMS),
by channel, by customer profile. Common name examples: "ES - ICMS
7%", "P1 Dentro do Estado", "Atacado".

Besides the tables, each product has its own **base price**, the one in its record. It applies
when the customer doesn't fall into any table, or when the table has no price for
that product.

There are two types of table:

- **commercial**: the normal table, which gives the customer's starting price;
- **promotional**: marked with the **promotion** badge; it doesn't replace the
  commercial one: it is compared product by product and only applies where it is cheaper. See [Promotional table: offer price with an expiry date](/en/ajuda/tabela-promocional).

## How a customer's price is chosen

For each customer, Vendria looks for the commercial table in this order and stops at the
first match:

1. the table chosen on the **customer profile**, for that store. See [A customer's price table: assign it on the profile](/en/ajuda/tabela-de-preco-do-cliente);
2. a **price rule** for the portfolio of the seller who owns the customer;
3. a **price rule** for the customer's region;
4. the **store's default table** (**default** badge);
5. with no table, the product's **base price**.

After that, if there is a promotional table in effect and cheaper for that
product, the promotion kicks in. Finally, a rule's **percentage adjustment**, if
any, is applied on top of the winning price. See [Price rules: table and adjustment by region or by seller](/en/ajuda/regras-de-preco).

It is the same price everywhere: in the buyer's catalog, in the quote built by the
seller, on WhatsApp and in the exported file. The discount chain runs on
top of that price. See [Como o preço de uma linha da cotação é formado](/ajuda/como-o-preco-de-uma-linha-e-formado).

## ⚠️ Price rules and promotions may not be active in your store

Price rules (by region and by seller), the percentage adjustment and the promotional
table depend on the condition-based pricing engine, which Vendria enables store
by store. Where it isn't active yet, only steps 1, 4 and 5 above apply: the
table on the customer profile, the store's default table and the base price.

The screen lets you create rules and promotions regardless. If you created a rule
or a promotion and the customer's price didn't change, contact Vendria support
to confirm whether the engine is active in your store.

## Create the first table and enter the prices

The **Price tables** tab creates, renames, activates, deactivates and deletes tables.
See [Create and manage price tables](/en/ajuda/criar-e-gerenciar-tabelas-de-preco). The first commercial table created
in that tab automatically becomes the store's default.

The tab has **no** field for typing in each product's price. A table's prices
come in by spreadsheet, in the catalog import: each price column becomes
a table. See [Load price table prices by spreadsheet](/en/ajuda/precos-das-tabelas-por-planilha). The catalog import
also creates tables on its own when the spreadsheet has several price
columns.

To see which spreadsheet column fed each table, use the link at the bottom of the
card: it takes you to the **Column Mapping** card, under **Catalog and
exports**, **Import** tab.

## Changing a table

The change applies to whatever is priced **from now on**. What it
reaches, and what it doesn't, depends on where the document is:

- **A quote already SENT** doesn't change under the customer: while the version they
  received is alive in their hands, the price stays locked. To change it, open the
  quote and change what you need: a notice asks whether it goes back to editing.
- **A confirmed or exported order** is a snapshot and is not repriced.
- ⚠️ **A draft not yet sent PICKS UP the new price**, as soon as someone opens and
  touches it. If a draft needs to keep the old price, close the price on the
  line before changing the table.

## Fixed price on a line

A seller can fix the price of a specific item in a quote. When that
happens, the line shows the **✓ Negotiated** badge and stops following the table: the
discounts no longer run on top of it. Its sibling is the **Base price**, which does
the opposite: it replaces the table and lets the discounts run.

⚠️ **Changing the line's product doesn't always undo the price, and what decides is the
STEP, not just the origin.** Only a typed **Fixed price** survives the swap,
now on the new product; this is deliberate, but worth checking. What drops off is the price
applied with the **Use** button (the last paid price that came from your ERP) and the **Base
price**, even when typed by hand. The details are in [Como o preço de uma linha da cotação é formado](/ajuda/como-o-preco-de-uma-linha-e-formado).

## Common questions

**Does a customer with no table on the profile pay the catalog price?** Not necessarily.
With no table on the profile and no price rule that reaches them, the **store's
default table** applies. The product's base price only applies when the store has no active default table,
or when the table that applies to the customer has no price for that product. Since
the first commercial table created in the **Price tables** tab becomes the default
on its own, in most stores the customer with nothing on the profile pays the default table.
A table created by the spreadsheet in **Update existing catalog** is not born
default: if it is the store's only table, use **Make default** in its menu.

**How do I upload a price list?** By spreadsheet, under **Catalog and exports**,
**Import** tab, **Import spreadsheet** button. To upload only prices, choose
**Update existing catalog**: one price column goes to the table you
choose, without removing anything. ⚠️ **Import new catalog** treats the spreadsheet as the
whole catalog: a product not in it is deactivated, and, when it carries
commercial table columns, each column becomes a table and the commercial table left
out is deactivated. The **Price tables** tab has no field for
typing in each product's price. The step by step is in [Load price table prices by spreadsheet](/en/ajuda/precos-das-tabelas-por-planilha).

**Can I leave the store with no default table?** The screen doesn't let you unmark,
deactivate or delete the default table. To change it, mark another one as default:
the previous one stops being default automatically.

**Can the seller choose another table in the quote?** Yes: the quote editor
has the **Price Table** selector, with the default marked **(default)**.
