# Start over, end and the conversation commands

> The commands of the conversation with Dri: new order, start over, end and undo, what is lost when you end and what the error messages say.

## Where to find it

The commands are sentences you write in the conversation with Dri: on WhatsApp, in the
Dri chat or on Telegram. There is no menu: some short sentences Dri
recognizes right away, and the rest she interprets.

Everything said and done in a conversation stays in **Actions**. Clicking
on the conversation's row, you open its detail, with the messages and the
documents that came out of it. See [The detail of a Dri conversation](/en/ajuda/detalhe-de-uma-conversa).

## The conversation goes on until you end it

The conversation with Dri doesn't end with each order. After creating a quote she
asks **What would you like to do?**, and the conversation goes on with the chosen customer, the
open quote and the history, until you end it or it expires with time.

The exception is **Export**: tapping it and picking the format delivers the file and
ends the conversation, and the next message starts another one. The format buttons of
a product list do the same. Asking for the file in writing (*"send it as
PDF"*) doesn't end it. See [Export the quote as Excel or PDF on WhatsApp](/en/ajuda/exportar-cotacao-pelo-whatsapp).

## New order, start over and end are three different things

**"new order", "another order", "new quote", "another quote", "I want to place
an order", "open a quote"**: the current quote **stays saved** as a draft
and another one starts in the same conversation. It also works with a quote open: you don't
need to end the conversation to leave it. The answer gives the number of the one that was saved:
**✅ New order started. Quote COT-000123 was saved.** and asks for the items.

- The new quote keeps the same customer as the previous one, unless the message
says who the new order is for (*"new order for Casa Modelo"*).
- If the same message already brings the items (*"new order"* and, on the line below,
*"5 AB10008"*), the new quote is born with them, without Dri asking again.

More examples in [Build a quote by text on WhatsApp](/en/ajuda/montar-cotacao-por-texto-no-whatsapp).

**"start over", "start again", "clear everything", "reset", "wipe it"**: Dri
doesn't guess what you meant. She asks, and the question depends on what is
open (see the next section).

**"end", "end conversation", "finish", "you can end the conversation",
"close the conversation", "bye", "see you", "see you later"**: they end the conversation
when they are the whole message. The answer is **It was a pleasure to help you! See you
next time. Conversation ended.**

**"thanks", "thank you", "thx"** alone end **no** conversation. Dri answers **You're
welcome! Just call if you need anything. 😊** and the conversation stays open.

**"no"** alone only ends it when Dri's last message was the closing
question, like *Need anything else?*. After another message (a quote that
just arrived, a question of hers), the "no" answers that and the conversation
goes on.

Other ways of saying goodbye, or a sentence that merely contains the verb (*"thanks, see
you"*, *"I want to end the order"*), Dri interprets by context. When
you want to be sure you ended it, send only one of the sentences above.

## The "start over" question, depending on what is open

Dri checks, right then, what you have open, including whether the quote is still
a draft, because it may have been confirmed or exported on screen
between one message and another. So she asks one of three questions:

- **With a quote open**: she names the document, with the number, how many
items it has and the customer (or *no customer*): *You have COT-000769 (2 items,
no customer) open.* The buttons are **New order** (the current one stays saved),
**Continue COT-000769** and **End everything**. On a multi-store purchase,
she also says how many other quotes the same purchase has.
- **With a product list open and no quote**: she names the list and
offers **New list/order** and **End everything**.
- **With nothing open**: *There's no order or list open here, everything is
already cleared.* Only the **End everything** button shows: there is no quote to
leave behind, so **New order** isn't offered.

**Continue** shows the quote's summary with its buttons, and the conversation goes on
with that document. If it is no longer open, the answer is *That quote
isn't open here anymore. Tell me what you want to do and I'll take it from here.*

## With an open question: ending works right away, starting over waits

Ending works even when Dri has just asked something (which store,
which customer, which order). *"end conversation"*, *"bye"* and the other ending
sentences, sent as the whole message, end it right away, and the question that
was open is discarded with it.

The other commands wait. *"start over"*, *"start again"*, *"reset"* and
*"new order"* sent with an open question are first read as a
possible answer to it. Answer the question, or tap the button, and then give the
command.

When the question is which customer, which order or which quote to change,
you can close just that and keep talking: write *"never mind"*,
*"forget it"* or *"cancel"*. Dri closes the question without picking anything and
confirms in a short sentence, without touching anything. On the which-quote-to-change
question, for example, she answers *Ok, I left it as it was.* If you don't
answer, the question expires on its own in 15 minutes.

## What is lost when you end, and what isn't

When you end, what was work in progress in the conversation goes away: the quote that
was open in it, the chosen customer, the file that was still going to be read and the
open questions. The product list you just generated also stops
being the open list: the next list request starts from scratch. There is **no**
loss of:

- **the messages**: they stay in the conversation's detail, in **Actions**;
- **the documents**: a created quote is a saved quote, and it stays in
**Quotes**. To work on one of them again through the conversation, say which it is: *"on
yesterday's quote, add 2 more AB10371"*. Before changing it, Dri confirms which
one it is, even when only one fits: she asks **Which quote do I change?**, with up to
five options, and the conversation starts working on the one you pick.

The **Export** button of a quote already created still works after
ending: it carries the quote's number inside it. **Add items** doesn't
carry it: tapped on a message from a conversation that already ended, the items you
send next become a new quote, even if the answer to the tap says
it will add to the current quote. To add to a quote already saved, say
which it is, as in the example above.

The format buttons of a product list don't survive the
ending either: since the first file ends the conversation, a second tap on the
same message may answer *I couldn't retrieve that list here.* To
get the same list in another format, write *"send it as Excel"* or *"send it
as PDF"*: for about an hour Dri uses the last list you received,
unless you ended the conversation with one of the ending sentences.

## When the conversation ends on its own

From inactivity, after exporting through the button, or when it passes a ceiling of
hours since the start. The next message starts a new conversation. In the
**Actions** list, a conversation you ended shows as **Completed**, and one
that expired with time, as **Expired**.

## If you serve more than one store

Dri doesn't ask for the store at the start of the conversation. She finds out from the order's
codes or from the customer, and only asks **Which store is this quote for?** when
nothing decides. Tapping a store button on a question that was already answered
returns *That store question was already answered. Tell me what you want to do
and I'll take it from here.*

## Other commands Dri recognizes

- **"hi", "good morning", "how are you"**: Dri introduces herself and reminds you that you can
forward quotes or ask about products.
- **"ask quantity"**: turns off the preference of assuming one box of
each item when the message doesn't say the quantity. The answer is **👍 Got it.
I'll ask again before assuming the quantity.**
- **"undo"**: removes the last batch of items you **added** to a
quote that already existed, including the sum made on a line that was already there. The
answer says how many items came out and how many stayed in the draft. Each
"undo" goes back one more batch. It doesn't undo the creation: right after
**✅ Quote created!** there is no batch to undo, and the answer is *No batch
to undo.* It also doesn't work after the quote was confirmed.
- **"what's in the order?"**: lists the items of the open quote.

## A message sent while Dri is working

You can't interrupt what Dri has already started. A message that arrives while
she is still working on the previous one (reading an order's photos, building a list
you asked for) waits its turn, for up to about a minute, and only then is read.
That's why the file you asked for earlier arrives just the same; if you aren't going to
use it, just don't forward it. To change a list that already went out, see
[Adjust the list without redoing the whole request](/en/ajuda/ajustar-a-lista-sem-refazer).

## When something goes wrong

The error messages are direct, so they can be understood on the phone itself:

- *⚠️ You are sending messages too fast.*: wait a bit. The
messages sent in that interval aren't processed; send them again later.
- *The monthly usage limit was reached.*: your company's Dri usage
limit ran out for the month. The administrator is who solves it.
- *⚠️ AI service usage limit reached.*: trying again doesn't solve it.
  Let the administrator know.
- *❌ No active access.*: the number that wrote has no active access: it isn't
registered, the link was deactivated or the user is deactivated. Talk to the
  administrator.
- *You aren't associated with any company.*: your user has no store.
  Talk to the administrator.
- *⚠️ Assistant unavailable*: the artificial intelligence services
Dri uses didn't answer. Try again in a few minutes.
- *⚠️ Our extraction service is temporarily unavailable.*: reading
the file failed on our side. Send it again in a few seconds.
- *⚠️ Something went wrong on our side. We've already been notified* or *⚠️ Something went
wrong while processing your message.*: a failure on our side on that
  message. Send it again.
- *😕 There was an error on our side and I couldn't read the photos you
sent.* or *⚠️ An error occurred while processing the images. Try again.*:
the photos weren't processed. Send them again.
- *❌ I couldn't process the PDF. Try sending it again.*: the PDF wasn't
  read. Send it again.
- *🎬 I can't watch videos yet.*: Dri doesn't read video. Send a photo, PDF,
  spreadsheet, audio or text.
- *🤔 I can't get an order out of this type of file.*: the file isn't a
  format Dri reads.

For a photo or PDF that got no answer at all, see [A quote from a photo, PDF or spreadsheet on WhatsApp](/en/ajuda/cotacao-por-foto-pdf-e-planilha).

## Common questions

**I ended the conversation by accident. Did I lose the quote?** No. It is in
**Quotes**. What is lost is the quote being open *in the conversation*. To
continue through the conversation, say which it is, for example *"on yesterday's quote, add
2 more AB10371"*, and Dri asks which to change if there is more than one. Or open it
through the message link, or through the **Quotes** list, and adjust it on screen.

**What's the difference between "new quote" and "start over"?** "New quote"
saves the current one and opens another right away. "Start over" asks what you want, with
the ways out of what is open.

**I wrote "thanks" and the conversation didn't close. Why?** That's expected:
a thank-you doesn't end it. Use *"end"* or *"bye"*.

**Dri asked for the store and I want to leave. Do I need to answer first?** No.
*"end conversation"* or *"bye"* ends it right away, and the question is discarded
with it.

**I wrote "no" and the conversation ended?** Only if Dri's last message was
*Need anything else?*. At any other moment the "no" answers what
she just said, and the conversation goes on.

**I asked for "undo" right after the quote was created and it didn't work. What now?**
The quote is born whole and stays saved in **Quotes**. Fix it through the conversation
(*"remove 9010"*, *"swap 9010 for 9011"*, *"change to 20 boxes"*) or on
screen, through the message link. Sending the list again creates **another** quote, and the
first one stays saved.

**I exported and sent one more item: why did Dri create another quote?** Because
**Export** ends the conversation, and the exported quote is no longer open
in it. To add to the exported quote, open it through the message link and
adjust it on screen.
