# When Dri asks, and how to answer

> Which questions Dri asks in the conversation, how to answer with a button, number or name, how long the question waits and why reading issues are solved on screen.

## Where to find it

Dri's questions arrive in the conversation itself (WhatsApp, Dri chat or
Telegram), with buttons or with a numbered list. Open questions about the
**reading** of an item don't arrive as a question: they stay marked on the
quote, on screen, for you to solve there.

Knowing which is which keeps you from answering in the wrong place.

## A reading doubt stays on the quote, not in the conversation

When Dri is unsure about an item in the order (a blurred code, text that
matches two products, a quantity that could be boxes or pieces), she **doesn't
ask in the conversation**. She builds the quote with what she could and leaves the
issue marked on the line.

What the message shows is only the count, on one line of the summary:

```
🔍 3 issues to review calmly on the quote
```

**Answering that line by text doesn't close the doubt.** There is no way to
solve a reading doubt through the conversation: your message is read as another order and
the line stays pending. The place to solve it is the quote screen, through the link
in the message itself.

## What she decides on her own and only records

Some readings Dri assumes instead of asking, and they **don't show up as a
question** in the conversation:

- a quantity that doesn't appear on the line: she assumes the product's minimum
  packaging;
- a quantity written once for a block of codes: it applies to each code
  in the block;
- a line crossed out on paper;
- a repeated item;
- correcting a code that is almost certainly a reading error.

All of them are recorded on the quote and can be undone on screen. The automatic
code corrections show in the message only as a count, for example **🔁 2
codes corrected automatically. Check on the quote.** That is why it is worth opening
the quote even when the summary looks clean.

## The questions she asks in the conversation, and the answer that works

These are questions about **what you want to do**, not about how to read an item.
The ones that come with a numbered list end with *Answer with the number or the name.*,
and that is exactly it: the line number or the option's name.

- **Add to quote** or **New quote**: when items arrive and there is already an
  open quote. Tap the button.
- **Which store is this quote for? Pick below or type the store's
name.**: when you serve more than one store and nothing in the order decides. Tap
the store or write its name (*Loja Centro*, for example).
- **What you sent me: do you want me to look up these products, or to
build a quote with them?**, with **1) Look up the products** and **2)
Build the quote**: when the message has only codes and doesn't say what you
want. Answer *look up* or *build*. Resending one of the codes doesn't count
as a choice, and the answer is usually *I didn't recognize an order in that
  message.*
- **📦 I read 5 codes in this message, but no quantity.**, with **Yes, 1
box of each**, **Always do it this way** and **No, I'll type it**: when the
message only has codes and is going to become a quote. If you only wanted to check,
tap **No, I'll type it**. See [Build a quote by text on WhatsApp](/en/ajuda/montar-cotacao-por-texto-no-whatsapp).
- **You have 2 open orders in this conversation. Which one do I add to?**:
when there is more than one open quote in the same conversation. Answer with the
number, with *the first one*, or with the customer's name as it shows in the list
(works when the quotes are for different customers).
- **Which quote do I change?**: when you talk about another quote by day or
by position (*"on yesterday's quote, add 3 more AB10371"*, *"on the last
quote"*). The list shows up to five quotes; answer with the line
number. If there is no quote on the day you said, she warns *I didn't find a
quote from yesterday. These are the most recent ones. Which one do I change?*. More in
[Start over, end and the conversation commands](/en/ajuda/recomecar-encerrar-e-comandos-da-conversa).
- **Which list do you want me to take that from?**: when you ask to change
a product list and she doesn't know which one. Each option shows the slice, the
store, the time and how many items it has; answer with the line number.
- **I found more than one of your customers… Which one?** or **I found more than one seller
with that name:**: answer with the number or with the name as it is in the list.
- **That filter (...) caught 2368 products, and I build quotes with up to 300
items.**: when you ask for a quote by slice and the slice is too wide. Answer
with just a number up to 300 (*200*, for example) or with a narrower slice
(*"only Loja Norte"*, *"from 3 to 7 reais"*). See [A quote for a slice of the catalog through Dri](/en/ajuda/cotacao-de-um-recorte-pela-dri).
- **the format** of the file (Excel or PDF): when you ask to export without
  saying which.
- **which option** of a condition: *"boleto"* matched two payment
methods, and she lists both numbered.
- **which note**: the order's, internal or billing.
- **what to do with what is open**: when you ask to start
  over.

## How to answer one of Dri's questions

Tap the button whenever it is on screen: the button carries the exact
reference (the quote number, the store, the option) and doesn't depend on Dri
interpreting the sentence.

- **Write the button's label**, exactly as it shows (*"New quote"*).
It counts as a tap, on any channel. A similar sentence, like *"I won't
export now"*, counts as **no** tap on **Export**, on purpose.
- **In a numbered list**, answer with the number, with *the first one*, *the
second one*, or with the option's name. A piece of the name also works, as long as it
  matches only one option.
- **Send only the answer.** A message that looks like a new order (*"new
order"* and items below) isn't taken as an answer: Dri handles the order and
  the question stays open.

## Only the most recent question counts

Among the numbered-list questions (customer, quote, list, look up or
build), the new one replaces the previous one, and a number answers the last list
Dri showed.

⚠️ Two questions stay open underneath the next one and read a loose number
before it: the box one (**Yes, 1 box of each**) and the store one (**Which store is
this quote for?**). With the box one open, *1* means **Yes, 1 box of each** and
builds the quote. If Dri asked the box question and right after **Look up the
products** or **Build the quote**, answer by name (*look up*,
*build*), never by number. If the quote came out without you wanting it, it stays in
**Quotes** as a draft and doesn't go to the customer or to the ERP
on its own.

## How long the question waits

The question is valid for 15 minutes. If you send something else in the meantime,
Dri handles what you sent and the question stays open until it expires. To
go back to it after changing the subject, prefer tapping the question's button,
if it came with buttons: the tap carries the exact reference, and a loose word
can be read as another order.

After the 15 minutes, a number or a *"the second one"* alone no longer picks
anything. Dri answers that the question expired (*That question expired*) and,
when she knows, repeats in quotes what you had asked for, so you can send it
again. Send the whole order again; it generates a new question, with the
current list.

## Ending or giving up with an open question

**"end conversation"** or **"bye"**, as the whole message, end the
conversation even with an open question, and the question is discarded with it.

To close only a numbered-list question and keep talking,
write *"never mind"*, *"forget it"* or *"cancel"*. Dri closes the question
without picking anything. The box question doesn't close this way: tap **No, I'll
type it**.

*"start over"*, *"start again"* and *"new order"* don't jump ahead of
an open question: with it open, Dri doesn't start over right away. Answer the
question, or close it with *"never mind"*, and then give the command.

## Where to solve it on screen

Every line-scoped reading doubt shows **on the line itself** of the
quote, with the options there. The notices panel at the top shows the summary and the
bulk actions; the item-by-item lives on the line. How to open the line's drawer, what
each type of notice asks for and the panel's batches: see [Line notices: the Check badge, the drawer and the review panel](/en/ajuda/avisos-da-linha).

## Common questions

**Dri was left with an open doubt about an item. Does that lock the conversation?** No.
The reading doubt stays on the quote and you solve it on screen whenever you want; the
conversation goes on normally.

**I answered "the first one" and Dri said the question expired. What now?** The
question went past 15 minutes without an answer. Send the order again, whole:
Dri redoes the search and shows a new list for you to pick from.

**I answered "1" to look up and Dri built a quote. Why?** Because the
**Yes, 1 box of each** question was still open and read the *1* as **Yes**.
In that case answer *look up* instead of the number. The quote created stays saved
in **Quotes**, as a draft, and doesn't go to the customer or to the ERP
on its own.

**I sent the code again in reply to "look up or build" and it didn't
work. Why?** The question only accepts one of the two options. Answer
*look up* or *build*, and Dri uses the codes from the original message, without
you needing to repeat them.

**Why doesn't a reading doubt become a question in the conversation?** Because choosing
between similar products is screen work: on the quote line you see the
candidates with code and description, side by side, and the original document to
check against.

**The question came with a numbered list instead of buttons. What do I do?** When the
options don't fit in buttons, or the channel doesn't draw them, they come numbered.
Answer with the number or with the name.

**Can I write the quote number (COT-000123) for Dri to go back to it?**
Not today: Dri doesn't read a typed number to go back to an old quote.
Say the day or the position (*"on yesterday's quote"*, *"on the last quote"*), or
open the quote through the message link or the **Quotes** list and adjust it on
screen.
