# Load price table prices by spreadsheet

> For the administrator: upload the price list of the tables by spreadsheet, one column per table, and avoid deactivating the tables that were left out.

## Summary

To upload a price list, use the spreadsheet import: in your account menu,
**Catalog and exports**, **Import** tab, **Import spreadsheet**.
To load the prices of one table without touching the rest of the catalog, choose
**Update existing catalog** and, under **Save as**, the table that will receive
the prices (or **Create new table...**). The **Prices** screen, **Price
tables** tab, creates and organizes the tables, but has no field to type a price: a
table's prices come in only by spreadsheet. In a store whose catalog is synced with the ERP, the
base price the ERP sets doesn't change through the spreadsheet (the table prices
do), and in **Import new catalog** the products that came from the ERP aren't taken
out of circulation.

## Where to find it

In your account menu, under **Catalog and exports**, **Import** tab →
**Import spreadsheet**. A price table's prices come in only by spreadsheet:
the **Prices** screen, **Price tables** tab, creates and organizes the tables, but has
no field to type a product price.

There are two doors, and they behave differently:

- **Import new catalog**: the spreadsheet carries the whole catalog, and each price
  column becomes a table;
- **Update existing catalog**: one price column goes to a table that
  you choose, without touching the rest.

## One column per table in the full import

When the spreadsheet has several price columns (e.g. **PRECO_ES**, **PRECO_RJ**,
**ATACADO**), the **Mapping Review** shows the **Price tables** section:
"Each price column will be associated with a price table." Each row has:

- **Column in the spreadsheet**;
- **Table name**: editable. A name equal to an existing table's
  **updates** that table; a new name **creates** a table;
- **Type**: for a new table, the **Promotional** checkbox; for a table that already exists,
  its type read-only, with "table already exists — change it in Price tables";
- **Default**: the column that feeds the products' base price;
- **Fill rate**, **Values**, **Examples** and **Classification**.

Below the table, "Existing tables: ... — tables with the same name will be
updated." lists the tables the store already has. **Add price
column...** brings one more column into the section.

When the spreadsheet has a single price column, it goes straight to the
**Price** field in **Column mapping**. The **Multiple prices** button, next to the
field, turns that column into a table; **Use a single column** does the
reverse.

## The Default column

The column marked as **Default** is the one that writes each product's **base price**. If
its table is new, it is also created as the **store's default table**.

To change the default to a table that **already exists**, use the table's menu in
**Prices**, **Price tables** tab (**Make default**): the import doesn't change the default to an
existing table. A promotional column can never be the **Default**.

## ⚠️ Tables left out of the spreadsheet are deactivated

In **Import new catalog**, when the spreadsheet carries at least one
**commercial** table column, it is treated as the store's complete list of tables:
every active commercial table with **no** row in the spreadsheet is **deactivated** and
**loses its prices**. If it was the default, the default moves to one of the tables in the
spreadsheet.

So, before a full import with several price columns, check
that every table you use is in the spreadsheet, with the same name.

**Promotional** tables are never deactivated for this reason. And a spreadsheet
that carries **only** a promotional column doesn't touch the commercial tables.

## Promotional columns in the import

A column marked **Promotional** carries an offer:

- a value of 0 or blank means "no offer" and isn't saved: the screen warns "no
  offer in ~N% of rows" when that is frequent;
- in the full import, a product that comes without an offer leaves the promotion
  (the result says "N product(s) left the promotion");
- **Use a single column** stays blocked while there is a promotional column, so the
  offer doesn't become everyone's price;
- a spreadsheet with only a promotional price doesn't create new products: import the
  product with its normal price first.

The wizard may mark **Promotional** on its own from the column name ("suggested
by the name"). Check it. See [Promotional table: offer price with an expiry date](/en/ajuda/tabela-promocional).

## One column for one table in the update

In **Update existing catalog**, the **Price** section has:

1. **Spreadsheet column**: the column with the price;
2. **Save as**: **Base price (no table)**, one of the existing tables (the
   default shows **(default)**) or **Create new table...**, with the name field
   and the **Promotional** checkbox.

Here no table is deactivated and no other product's price is erased: only
the products in the spreadsheet get a price in the chosen destination. Choosing the default
table also updates the base price. See [Update an existing catalog: add without removing anything](/en/ajuda/atualizar-catalogo-existente).

## Where to check the loaded prices

- in **Prices**, **Price tables** tab, each table's **N prices** counter;
- on the product page, the **Price Tables** card, with the product's price in
  each table;
- in the product list, the **Price table** filter, which shows the list with that
  table's prices;
- in **Catalog and exports** → **Import** tab → **Column
  Mapping**, the spreadsheet column that fed each table.

## When it goes wrong

**"A table disappeared after the import."** It wasn't in the spreadsheet and was
deactivated. In **Prices**, **Price tables** tab, it shows the **inactive** badge and **0
prices**; reimport a spreadsheet that includes it, with the same name.

**"The spreadsheet maps only promotional table(s) and carries N product(s) that
don't exist in the catalog yet."** Map the normal price column too, or
import the products first and the promotion afterwards.

**"I changed the table name in the spreadsheet and it became a different table."** The name is the
link to the existing table. Rename the table in **Prices**, **Price tables** tab, beforehand,
or use the same name in the import.

## Common questions

**How do I upload a price list to Vendria?** By spreadsheet. In your account
menu, **Catalog and exports**, **Import** tab, click **Import
spreadsheet** and choose **Update existing catalog**. Under **Save as**, say whether the price
column goes to the **Base price (no table)**, to a table that already exists or
to a new table; in a store whose catalog is synced with the ERP, the base price
the ERP sets doesn't change through the spreadsheet, but the table prices do. On this
path no product leaves the catalog and no table is deactivated. In
**Import new catalog**, on the other hand, which loads several tables at once, the spreadsheet counts
as the whole catalog: a product not in it is taken out of circulation (in a store
whose catalog is synced with the ERP, the ones that came from the ERP stay) and, when it
carries a commercial table column, every active commercial table left out is
deactivated and loses its prices.

**Can I type a product's price on the Prices screen, Price tables tab?**
No. That tab creates, renames, activates or deactivates, deletes and picks the default table, and
shows how many prices each one has, but prices come in only through the spreadsheet
import.

**I want to load several tables at once. How do I do it?** Build the spreadsheet with one
price column per table and use **Import new catalog**: in the review, each
column becomes a table. Remember that, on this path, the spreadsheet counts as the
whole catalog: a product not in it is taken out of circulation (in a store
synced with the ERP, the products that came from the ERP stay), and a commercial
table left out is deactivated. If the spreadsheet only carries prices, or if
you don't want that effect, load one table at a time in **Update existing
catalog**.

**Can the seller upload the price list?** No. **Catalog and exports**
and **Prices** are administrator screens; anyone who isn't an administrator is sent back
to the product list when trying to open them.

**Can I send the price spreadsheet to Dri to load?** No. Dri doesn't save
prices to a table. A spreadsheet sent in the conversation is read as an order, to
build a quote. Price loading is done only through the import, on screen.
