# A customer's record straight from the ERP

> Look up a customer's record straight from the ERP, with details, the group's branches and contacts, and bring the customer into Vendria with one click.

## Where to find it

This screen has no menu entry. Day to day you get to it by clicking the customer's
name on the page of an order in the ERP. See [The order as it ended up in the ERP](/en/ajuda/o-pedido-no-erp).
It also opens when someone clicks an ERP customer that doesn't have a record
in Vendria yet, in an ERP portfolio list. A link pasted straight into the browser
works the same way.

It is a **pure lookup**: while loading, the screen says "Querying the ERP…", and what
shows came from the ERP at that moment, not from the Vendria record. That's why there is
no editable field: whatever is wrong here is fixed in the ERP.

## What shows at the top

The title has the customer's name and, below, the legal name (when it differs from the
name) and the CNPJ. On the right are the store and the connection the reading came from and, when
the ERP flags the customer that way, the **Blocked** badge.

The **Back** arrow takes you to the screen you came from.

## The Details, Group branches and Contacts tabs

**Details** shows **Address**, **City / State**, **ZIP code (CEP)**, **Email**, **Phone**,
**State registration**, **Last purchase** and **Seller in the ERP**, the code of the
seller the ERP has as default for this customer.

**Group branches** lists the companies that share this customer's CNPJ root,
with the head office marked. It isn't the ERP's commercial group, which joins brands and not
companies. Clicking a row opens each one's legal name, city and code in the
ERP. On a customer without a 14-digit CNPJ (individual, incomplete record) the tab
says "No branch in the group." because there was nothing to ask, not because the
group is empty.

**Contacts** shows the people registered for the customer in the ERP, with job title, email
and phone. The tab only exists under two conditions:

- the ERP of that connection can report contacts;
- the customer is yours. On another sales rep's customer it doesn't show: the people
of a colleague's customer aren't yours to read.

## Bring the customer into Vendria

A strip below the title says where the record stands:

1. **This customer has a full record.** (with **Open full record**, which
takes you to their record inside Vendria).
2. **This customer does not have a full record yet.** (with **Bring over this
customer**, which creates the record (head office and group branches, already linked to the
ERP) and opens the new record in Vendria).

If bringing it over shows "Importing customers from the ERP is not enabled for this
store.", it isn't your mistake or a typo: it is a door turned off in that store, and
support is the one who turns it back on. If it shows "Couldn't bring over the customer. Try
again.", try again in a moment.

Bringing the customer over isn't required to sell: they also enter Vendria on their own
when you choose them on a quote through the ERP search.

## Customer owned by another sales rep

When the customer is in your ERP portfolio but their default sales rep is
someone else, the screen says "Customer owned by another sales rep — showing only the
basic details, without actions." In this mode:

- only name, legal name, CNPJ, city/state and the group branches show;
- address, email, phone, state registration, last purchase and seller in the ERP
  don't come through;
- the **Contacts** tab doesn't exist and there is no **Bring over this customer**.

⚠️ The **Blocked** badge doesn't show in this mode either. Its absence here doesn't
mean the customer is cleared. And it isn't a permission failure on your side: the customer
belongs to another portfolio.

## When it goes wrong

**"Customer not found in the ERP."** has more than one cause. The most common is the
obvious one: the record left the ERP since the last time you saw the list. But the same
sentence shows when the customer isn't in your portfolio on that connection, or when
you have no seller code on that connection: whoever is out of your reach
answers "not found", not "no permission". If you came from a link
someone sent, that's the most likely case.

**"Couldn't query the ERP. Try again."** is almost always
unavailability, and **Try again** usually solves it. If it always fails, on the
same customer, the live reading may be turned off for that store: then the button
will never get through. Talk to support instead of insisting.

Branches and contacts fail separately, without bringing down the record. They are three
different sentences, and each one calls for a reaction:

- "Couldn't load this customer's contacts." (or "…the group
branches."): a reading failure. **Try again** may work.
- "No person registered for this customer in the ERP." An answer: the ERP was
asked and there is no one.
- "This connection's ERP doesn't report the customer's contacts.": that ERP can't
  answer. No retry solves it.

## Common questions

**Can I fix the customer's phone here?** No. The record only reads the ERP; fix it
there and the information shows on the next lookup.

**Why don't I see the contacts?** Either the ERP of that connection doesn't report them, or the
customer belongs to another sales rep.

**What's the difference from the customer's record in Vendria?** That one is the Vendria
record, with quotes, buyers and related companies. See [A customer's record](/en/ajuda/ficha-de-um-cliente). This one is what the ERP says right now, with nothing stored.
