# Place an order from the catalog

> How to place an order from the Vendria catalog: find the product, add it, review it in the cart and send it to the supplier.

## Where to find it

In the menu, under **Catalog**. This is where you choose the products; the order is reviewed and
sent later, in the cart.

## The order path, in four steps

1. **Find the product**: through search, the filters, or by pointing your
phone's camera at the barcode. See [Search, filter and scan barcodes in the catalog](/en/ajuda/buscar-e-filtrar-o-catalogo).
2. **Add it to the order**: on the product card, or on its page (see
   below).
3. **Review it in the cart**: quantities, notes and, if your company uses it, the
purchase order number. See [The buyer's cart: review, notes, PO and send](/en/ajuda/o-carrinho-do-comprador).
4. **Send it**: in the cart, with the **Send for Approval** button.

## How to add a product to the order

- **In the grid** (cards with a photo): adjust the quantity with the plus and minus buttons
on the card and click **Add to Quote**. On your phone the button is just called
  **Add**.
- **In the list** (one row per product): on a computer, the quantity sits next
to the cart button; on your phone, just tap the cart, and you adjust the quantity
  later, in the cart itself.
- **On the product page**: choose the **Quantity** and click **Add to
  Quote**. See [The product page](/en/ajuda/a-pagina-do-produto).

A product with options (color, size) shows **Choose variant** (on your phone, just
**Variant**) instead of the add button: a window opens for you to set
how much you want of each option.

After you add it, a small number appears on the product's button: it's how much
of that product is already in your order. Adding it again adds to the quantity.

## Where the cart is

On a computer, the cart is at the top of the screen; on your phone, in a bar at the
bottom. The number next to it counts how many **different** products are in the
order, not the sum of the quantities.

## Unit and closed box

Pay attention to each product's **unit**: some are sold by the box,
others by the unit, and the product says how many units come in the box. For a
closed-box product, the quantity must be a multiple of the box. The cart
warns you when it isn't.

## After sending

Sending is not the same as confirming: the seller still checks price and
availability before closing. The order appears in **Quotes** and the seller
gets the notice. If the cart had products from more than one of the supplier's stores,
it becomes one order per store. The screen confirms this before sending. See [Order sent: what happens now](/en/ajuda/pedido-enviado-o-que-acontece-agora).
