# Talk to Dri on Telegram

> For the buyer: turn on Telegram in My Account and send Dri orders, photos and spreadsheets there, just as you would on WhatsApp.

## Where to find it

In **My Account**, in the panel that connects Dri to other messaging
apps: its title starts with **Connect Dri**. Each app appears
on a line, with a sentence saying what it is and the button to turn it on.

WhatsApp appears in that panel only as information: it already works through the
phone number registered in your account, without you turning anything on. Telegram is the other
way to talk to Dri as a buyer.

## What Telegram is for

With Telegram on, you send Dri the same things you would send on
WhatsApp (price and stock questions, item lists as text, photo, PDF or

Telegram doesn't have the 24-hour window or the per-message cost, which are WhatsApp
rules. It's for those who already use Telegram day to day, on the phone or
on the computer.

## How to turn on Telegram, step by step

1. Open **My Account** and scroll down to the panel that starts with **Connect Dri**.
2. On the **Telegram** line, click **Connect**.
3. A QR code, the link and the **Open in Telegram**, **Copy
   link** buttons appear and, when it can be delivered to your WhatsApp, **Get it on WhatsApp**.
4. Open the link in Telegram, by scanning the QR with your phone, tapping **Open in
   Telegram** or pasting the copied link.
5. In Telegram, tap **Start**. The bot confirms that the account was connected.
6. Go back to **My Account**: the Telegram line now says it's
   connected, without needing to reload the page.

⚠️ The link is valid for a few minutes and works only once. If you took too long, use **Generate
another link** right below the QR.

## Each channel is a separate conversation

WhatsApp and Telegram don't share the conversation. A quote you
started putting together with Dri on WhatsApp doesn't stay open on Telegram, and the
reverse also holds.

What you saved stays on the site, either way: every quote put together through
either channel appears in **Quotes**.

So, to avoid getting lost, finish an order on the same channel where you started it.

## The connection link is yours only

The link that appears in **Connect** ties the Telegram of whoever opened the link to the account
that is open on the site at that moment. So:

- don't forward the link to someone else: whoever opens it first gets tied to
  your account;
- if you want to connect a colleague's Telegram, they need to sign in with their own
  account and generate their own link.

## Get notices through another channel

With more than one channel available, the **Get notifications here** button appears on
each one's line. It chooses where Dri sends notices to you. The
chosen channel gets the **Dri notifies you here** badge.

## Disconnect Telegram

On the Telegram line, click **Disconnect** and confirm with **Yes,
disconnect**. Dri stops answering on Telegram. No quote is
lost, and you can turn it on again whenever you want, through the same **Connect**.

## What about Dri's Chat?

The panel also shows a **Dri chat** line. That chat is made for the
supplier's team: on a buyer account it doesn't talk. To talk to
Dri as a buyer, use WhatsApp or Telegram.

## When it goes wrong

**The panel says it couldn't load the options**: reload the page.

**The bot says the link is no longer valid**: the link expired or was already used. Generate
another one in **My Account** and open it again.

**The bot says it doesn't know who you are yet**: you wrote to the bot without
having gone through the connection link. Follow the step by step above.

**The screen keeps showing the QR after I connected**: the site checks on its own
while the link is valid. If the link expired before that, reload the page to see the
current state.

**"Sending on WhatsApp unavailable"**: sending the link on WhatsApp isn't
available right now. Use the QR or copy the link.
