# The detail of an import

> Read the detail of an import in AI actions: extracted and matched items, open questions, original files, the Partial state and the error of a failure.

## Where to find it

An import's detail page has no entry of its own in the menu. You
get to it from the **Actions** list: click a line whose channel is
**Import**. To see only this type of line, use the **Import** channel
filter on the list.

The **Back** button takes you back to the list on the same page and with the same
filters that were on. If you opened the detail through a pasted link, without having
gone through the list, **Back** lands at the start of the list, with no filter at all.

## Which imports a seller can open

A seller opens the imports done by themselves: the ones they sent and the ones
in their name as seller. A colleague's import does not open: the
address replies with an error instead of showing the data.

For a sales rep there are two more cuts. Whoever is Partner or Administrative
at the rep agency also opens the team's imports. And whoever works under a
mandate only reaches the imports of the stores the mandate covers, with one
exception: what you yourself sent always opens, even if it is from another store.

Whoever manages the company or a store sees everyone's imports.

## Where the imports on the list come from

An import line is born from two paths:

- *on screen*: the file sent through **Import Quote with AI**, on the quotes
  list (see [Import a quote on screen: photo, PDF or spreadsheet](/en/ajuda/importar-cotacao-pela-tela));
- *through the conversation*: the photo, PDF or spreadsheet that came through Dri on
  WhatsApp, on Telegram or in the own chat and became a quote (see [A quote from a photo, PDF or spreadsheet on WhatsApp](/en/ajuda/cotacao-por-foto-pdf-e-planilha)).

Both show the same numbers, but not the same things: an import on
screen keeps the files sent; one that came through a conversation keeps no file
here: the original stays inside the conversation, in the transcript.

## The header: number, type, status and date

The title is **Import #** followed by the number. Right below come two badges and the
date and time the import started.

The first badge is the type of what came in: **PDF**, **Image**, **Spreadsheet**,
**Audio** or **Text**. ⚠️ On an import that came through a conversation, the badge
shows the channel name written as the system stores it (for example
*whatsapp*), untranslated; this is not a defect of the import.

The second badge is the status:

- **Extracting**: the reading is still in progress;
- **Completed**: the reading finished;
- **Failed**: the reading stopped with an error;
- **Partial**: the reading stopped to ask a question (see the section on the
  partial import).

## The four numbers of an import

Below the header sit four boxes:

- **Extracted items**: how many lines Dri read from what the customer sent;
- **Matched items**: how many of those lines it matched to a product in the
  catalog;
- **Open questions**: how many questions were left open for someone to check;
- **Duration**: how long the reading took, in seconds, minutes or hours.

The math that helps most is the difference between extracted and matched: those are the
lines that reached the quote without a product and that will call for a search or a decision in
the review. A dash (—) in place of the number means that measure was not
recorded, not that it is zero.

## Seller and Company

**Seller** is who did the import. When that person belongs to a
rep agency, the rep agency's name shows below, in smaller type, so
you do not mistake someone from outside for someone in-house.

⚠️ **Company** shows the name of the *store* the import went into, not the
customer's name. You check the quote's customer by opening the quote.

## Download the original files

The **Source files** block lists what was sent, with the name and type of each
file. When the file is still stored, the line has the download icon and
clicking it opens the original in a new tab. When it has no icon, the name still
shows, but there is nothing left to download.

Whoever opens the detail can download the files; the download follows the same rule as
who sees the import. It is the fastest way to compare what the customer
wrote with what was read.

The block does not show up on an import that came through a conversation: in that case, open the
conversation in **Actions** and click the attachment inside the message.

## Go from the import to the quote

The **See quote #** button (with the number) shows up when the import became a
quote, and takes you straight to it. Without the button, no quote was born from that
import, because of a failure, or because it is still waiting for an answer.

In the **Actions** list itself the same shortcut shows up in the
**Actions** column, as **Quote #** followed by the number.

## When the import was Partial

**Partial** is not a half-done reading. It is the import that stopped before creating
the quote because several files arrived together and Dri needed to ask whether
they are a single order or separate orders.

While the question is not answered, there is no quote and no **See
quote #** button. When the answer comes, the reading starts over from scratch and shows up as
a *new* import line on the list; the **Partial** line stays as
it was, recording that the question happened.

## When the import failed

An import with status **Failed** may bring the red **Import
error** box, with the message the system recorded. Copy that sentence when
you ask for help: it is what says at which step the reading stopped.

If the status is **Failed** and the box does not show up, it is because no message was
recorded. In that case, open the original in **Source files** to check whether
it is readable and try importing again on screen.

## Common questions

- *The page shows only one error line, starting with "Error:".* The
  import is not yours (nor your team's, when you are Partner or
  Administrative), or it is in a store outside your mandate. ⚠️ The text after
  "Error:" may come in English; it means "no permission".
- *The numbers show with a dash.* The reading has not finished yet, or it stopped
  before counting.
- *The same import shows up twice.* One is the **Partial**, from the question;
  the other is the reading that ran after the answer.
- *I can't find the import the customer sent on WhatsApp.* Look through the
  conversation: a conversation's import line is only born when the reading became a
  quote.
