> For the administrator: create a buyer's access through WhatsApp or email, choose the stores they buy from and solve the most common errors.

## Where to find it

In the menu, under **Customers**: open the customer and use the **Buyers** tabs (who
gets in) and **Discounts & Access** (in which stores and at what price). It is the
recommended path. You can also create a buyer in **Users**, with the
**New buyer** button on the **Buyers** tab.

## What a buyer is

A buyer is a person from one of your customers who buys on their own: they enter the
**Catalog**, see that customer's prices, build the cart and place orders, on the
site or chatting with Dri on WhatsApp. Access is always tied to a
customer: the customer is what defines the stores, the price table and the discounts.
A customer can have several buyers.

## Create access via WhatsApp (the fastest)

1. In **Customers**, open the customer and go to the **Buyers** tab.
2. In the **Access via WhatsApp** card, click **Create WhatsApp Access**.
3. Check the **WhatsApp** (pre-filled with the customer's phone) and the
**Name**. The number must be a WhatsApp number.
4. Click **Create Access**.

The buyer receives a welcome message on WhatsApp on behalf of your
company and gets in without a password, through the WhatsApp link. When the customer's phone
already belongs to a buyer, the card shows **Access already set up** with their name.

## Create the buyer with email, WhatsApp or both

1. On the **Buyers** tab, click **+ New Buyer**.
2. Fill in **Name** and at least one of **Email** and **WhatsApp**; the **CPF** is
   optional.
3. Click **Create Buyer**.

Nothing is sent. With email, the person logs in and creates the password in
**Forgot my password**; with WhatsApp, they get in through the WhatsApp link. To send
the welcome message, use **Welcome** on their row.

To link to the customer someone who is already a buyer of another customer of yours, use
**Link Existing**.

## In which stores the buyer buys

On the **Discounts & Access** tab, the **Settings per Store** card decides:

- **Access to all stores** checked: the customer buys in every active store
of your company, including the ones you open later.
- Unchecked: only the **Access** column of each store applies. At least one store
  must stay checked.

The same table holds the customer's **Price Table** and **Discount** in each
store, and above it the **Default Discount** ("Applied in every store that does not have
a specific discount"). The buyer sees the catalog already with these prices. See [Price tables](/en/ajuda/tabelas-de-preco) and [Commercial rules and discount](/en/ajuda/regras-comerciais-e-desconto).

⚠️ Besides being allowed here, the store must be active and have the web portal for
buyers turned on. A store without the portal does not appear for the buyer, even when
checked. On the store's page, in **Service Channels**, the
**Storefront** row says whether it is active.

## The actions on each buyer's row

- **Edit**: name, email, WhatsApp and CPF.
- **Impersonate**: opens a new tab already logged in as the buyer, so you
see what they see. What you do there is real.
- **Welcome**: resends the welcome message via WhatsApp.
- **Reset Password**: sets a new password (minimum of 6 characters), with the
confirmation **Are you sure? The password will be changed.**
- **Unlink**: removes the person from this customer. Their account keeps existing
and the other links do not change.

The **Access** column shows how the buyer gets in: **Email**, **WhatsApp**
or both.

## Create through the Users menu

In **Users**, **Buyers** tab, **New buyer** opens the registration with the
**Customer (company)** and **CPF** fields. After you choose the customer, the screen
reminds you that store access is managed on the customer's profile.

⚠️ Always choose the **Customer (company)**. Without a customer, the registration is not
tied to anything and the buyer has nowhere to buy. That is why the customer's profile is
the safest path: there the link is created along with it.

## When it goes wrong

**"This account has its own access to the platform and cannot be linked as a
buyer."**: the person is on the team of some company (administrator or
seller). Team members do not become buyers through the customer's profile.

**"Error linking buyer"** in **Link Existing**: the most common reason
is the same as above: the list offers people from your company, but only buyers
can be linked.

**"Invalid phone. Use the format +5511999999999."**: check the area code and the
number.

**"Email already registered for another user."**: an account with that email already exists.
If it is the same person, use **Link Existing**.

**The buyer gets in and does not see the store**: check the **Access** column in
**Discounts & Access** and whether the store has the web portal for buyers active.
