# Create a new store in the organization

> For the administrator: create a new store in Company Settings, with what it starts with and what to configure next.

## Where to find it

In your account menu, under **Company Settings**, on the **New store** button, at the
top of the page, next to the **Settings** title.

⚠️ Creating a store belongs to the **Company owner** and the **Company administrator**.
The store administrator also sees the button, but the registration is refused with **"You
are not an administrator of this organization"**.

## How to create a store, step by step

1. In **Company Settings**, click **New store**.
2. In the **New store** window, fill in the **Name**: it is the name by which the team and the
   customers will recognize the store.
3. Click **Create**. The message **Store created** appears.
4. Vendria opens the new store's page, where you complete the rest.

The name is the only detail asked for. It can be changed later, on the store's page,
by clicking on it.

## What the new store already comes with

- **Active** and with the buyer web portal turned on.
- **The same people as the other stores.** Anyone who already works in some store of the
  organization gets in the new store **the same roles they have in the others**:
  sellers remain sellers, and so on. The owner and the
  company administrators do not need this: they already see every store.
- **The company identity**: company name, CNPJ, address and logo belong to the
  organization, so the new store already appears on documents with them.
- **The switches in Company Settings** (multi-store cart, pre-sale,
  default unit and the others), because they apply to every store.

⚠️ **A store administrator of another store starts administering the new one too.** The
copy of roles includes the store administrator role: whoever administers store A becomes
administrator of the new store. If that is not what you want, check the list of
administrators of the new store right after creating it (see [Store Admins: who administers a specific store](/en/ajuda/admins-de-uma-loja)).

## What the new store does NOT come with

The new store starts empty in what is its own:

- **no products**: the catalog needs to be imported or synced;
- **no price table**;
- **no ERP connection**;
- **Default Discount (%)** at 0;
- with the store's **Commercial Rules** in their initial state, not copied from another
  store.

## What to configure next

1. **Catalog**: import the products spreadsheet (see [Import the catalog by spreadsheet](/en/ajuda/importar-catalogo-por-planilha)) or, if the store has an ERP, connect it first (see [Connect a store's ERP](/en/ajuda/conectar-o-erp-de-uma-loja)).
2. **Price tables**: create the store's default table in **Prices**, **Price tables** tab (see [Price tables](/en/ajuda/tabelas-de-preco)).
3. **Commercial Rules**: minimum amount, payment and freight. Stock
   control is in **Catalog and exports**, **Product page** tab.
   ⚠️ Open the new store's page first: the session starts pointing to it, and it is
   through it that the single-store parts of **Commercial Rules** respond.
4. **Default Discount (%)**, on the store's page, if the store works with one.
5. **Who has access**: check in **Users** who joined the new store through the
   copy of roles, and adjust.

## You cannot delete a store

There is no store deletion. A store created by mistake, or that stopped operating, is
**deactivated** on its page: it disappears for sellers, buyers and

## When it goes wrong

- **"You are not an administrator of this organization"**: you are a store administrator.
  Ask the Owner or a company administrator.
- **The Create button stays greyed out**: the **Name** is blank.
- **The new store does not appear for someone on the team**: the copy of roles happens
  once, at the moment of creation, and only reaches those who already had a role in some store.
  Check that person's stores in **Users**.
