# Order reading: what Dri knows about your catalog

> For the administrator: what Dri knows about your catalog, the notes for Dri and the code prefixes, and where the import and the column mapping are.

## Where to find it

The old **Catalog and Prices** screen left the menu on 18/10/2026. Nothing was
removed: its content was split into two screens of your account menu.

- **Order reading**, **Reading rules** tab: the **What Dri knows
  about the catalog** card, with the **Notes for Dri**, and the **Code
  prefixes** card. It is what Dri uses to read orders and answer about the catalog.
- **Catalog and exports**, **Import** tab: the **Import spreadsheet** button,
  image recognition, the notice about the last import, the **Last
  PDF import**, the **Variants & Prepack** card with the **Default sales
  unit**, the **Column Mapping** card (with the **Extra attributes**) and the
  **Import History** button, at the top of the tab.

The price tables are in **Prices**, **Price tables** tab. In the
**Import** tab there is a shortcut to it, the **Manage** button, inside the
**Column Mapping** card.

The old addresses of the screen still work: they lead to **Catalog and
exports**, **Import** tab. It is the last tab of the screen, and it only shows up
while some store receives its catalog by spreadsheet: with the ERP in every
store, the catalog comes from the ERP, the tab does not show up and those addresses open on the
**Taxes** tab.

## Which store the screen is showing

Almost everything here is **per store**. When your organization has more than one store,
the **Store** selector shows up at the top of **Order reading** and at the top of the
**Import** tab of **Catalog and exports**, and it decides which catalog the
screen is talking about. There is no "all stores" option: importing, reprocessing
images and editing the notes always act on a single store.

Coming from the menu, the screen already picks a store and shows it in the selector. Before
importing a spreadsheet or editing the notes, check the store name there: it is how
you avoid saving to the wrong catalog.

⚠️ The exception is the **Code prefixes** card: its list applies to the
whole organization, whatever store is in the selector.

## The "Last import with warnings" notice

When the store's last import left rows out or found repeated
codes, a yellow strip shows up in the **Import** tab of **Catalog and exports**,
**Last import with N warnings**, with the file name and the date. Click it to open
two lists:

- **Validation errors**: rows that did not get in, for example a row with no
  code and no description;
- **Duplicate SKUs**: codes that appeared more than once in the same tab of the
  spreadsheet; the first row was kept and the following ones were ignored.

The notice applies to a full import and to an update. See [Catalog import history](/en/ajuda/historico-de-importacoes).

## Variants & Prepack

It is in **Catalog and exports**, **Import** tab. The **Variants &
Prepack** card summarizes the store's catalog:

- **Products**, **With variants** and **Total variants**;
- **Variant dimensions**: color, size, voltage and whatever else the catalog uses,
  with how many products each one has;
- **Selling units**: how many products are sold by **Unit (un)**,
  **Kit**, **Pack** or **Box**.

Under **Store defaults** is the **Default selling unit** field. ⚠️ Changing this
field does not change the unit of any product already registered. To fix the
unit or the packaging of a product, edit the product or reimport the spreadsheet.
See [Product unit, packaging and sales multiple](/en/ajuda/unidade-embalagem-e-multiplo).

## What Dri knows about the catalog

It is in **Order reading**, **Reading rules** tab. The **What
Dri knows about the catalog** card shows exactly what goes into
Dri's instructions when she talks to buyers and sellers of that store
on WhatsApp:

- **Products in the catalog**: Dri uses this number to tell the size of the
  catalog. It counts all the products registered in the store, including the
  deactivated ones;
- **Price range**: the lowest and the highest registered product price;
- the **With prices** and **Stock by location** badges;
- **Top brands**: the most frequent brands in the catalog; Dri receives the
  first five;
- **Stock locations**: used to understand questions like "do you have it in SP?";
- **Available list filters**: the filters and sort orders Dri can use
  when generating a product list.

These numbers are recalculated on their own after each catalog import.
Nothing on this card is edited by hand, except the notes just below.

Reading this card is the fastest way to find out why Dri answered something
odd about the catalog: she answers from here.

## Notes for Dri

**Notes for Dri** is a free text of up to 1000 characters that goes into
Dri's instructions along with the rest of the card, for example, "we are
specialists in heavy trucks". It is the place for what the catalog alone does not
say: the store's specialty, what it calls its own product lines, what
it does not sell.

1. Write the text in the field.
2. Click **Save notes**. Until you save, the screen shows **Unsaved
   changes**.

The notes are per store and **survive imports**: reimporting the catalog
recalculates the card's numbers, but does not erase what you wrote.

## Code prefixes

It is in **Order reading**, **Reading rules** tab. The **Code
prefixes** card teaches the search to try your
catalog's prefix when the buyer writes the code without it: with `DV` configured, an
`8020` that does not exist is also looked up as `DV8020`. The list applies to all
the organization's stores and only kicks in after the normal search fails. See [Code prefixes: when the customer writes the code without the prefix](/en/ajuda/prefixos-de-codigo).

## Column Mapping

It is in **Catalog and exports**, **Import** tab. The **Column
Mapping** card shows how the columns of the last imported
spreadsheet became catalog fields: **Base columns** (SKU, Description, Price,
Image URL), **Stock columns**, **Extra attributes**, **Price
tables**, **Taxes** and **Cross-reference**, plus the **Header row** and
the **Last update** date.

While nothing has been imported, the card says **No mapping configured.
Import a catalog to generate the mapping.** The extra attributes can be
reconfigured right here, without reimporting. See [Extra catalog attributes: reapply without reimporting](/en/ajuda/atributos-extras-do-catalogo).

## When it goes wrong

**"Dri said the catalog has more products than I sell."** The card's
number also counts deactivated products. Check in the product list with the
**Status** filter set to **Active and inactive**.

**"I changed the notes and Dri keeps answering the same way."** Check that you clicked
**Save notes** and that the store in the selector is the store where the conversation happens: one
store's notes do not apply to another.

**"I can't find the Manage button for the price tables."** It is inside the
**Column Mapping** card, which only shows its content after the first
import. Use the **Prices** entry of your account menu, **Price
tables** tab, which always exists.

**"I can't find Catalog and Prices in the menu anymore."** The screen was split: the notes, the
prefixes and what Dri knows are in **Order reading**; the import and the
column mapping, in **Catalog and exports**, **Import** tab; the
tables, in **Prices**.
