## Where to find it

In the menu, under **Quotes**: open the document. While the quote is open
for editing (a draft, for example), the item list accepts changes right
there. If you left editing, the **Resume editing** button, at the top of the
quote, reopens it. The cart you build from the catalog (the
**Cart** item in the menu, when it has items) uses the same list, with the same
controls.

On a computer each item is a table row with **SKU**, **Product**,
**Price**, **Quantity** and **Total**. On a phone (and on narrow screens) each
item becomes a card, with the quantity on top and the money below.

## How to change a line's quantity

The quantity has a field with two buttons beside it: **−** and **+**.

1. Click **+** or **−** to go up or down one step, or click the
   number and type.
2. When typing, confirm with Enter or by leaving the field. The value is saved right
away and the line total is recalculated.

When the product has packaging with a multiple, the **+** and **−** buttons jump
from package to package (12 at a time, for example), instead of one unit
at a time. The **−** stops at zero: to take the item off the order use the trash can, which
is explicit.

On a line split among branches, the quantity appears locked and the hint
on mouse-over says **Sum of branches (edit in the allocation)**: there the number is
the sum of the parts, and you change the parts.

## Does the quantity count pieces or boxes?

It depends on the line, and the screen tells you which: below the number (on a computer) or in
the field label (on a phone, for example **Quantity in boxes**) the unit's
noun appears.

- On a line sold **by package** (the price is per box, and the price comes with a
suffix like "/cx"), the quantity counts **boxes**.
- On the others, it counts the catalog unit (pieces, kilos, rolls…).

To see the equivalence between boxes and units, open **Show price and
discounts ▸** (see below): the **Packaging** column appears, with the conversion and
a field where you type the number of boxes: the line saves the equivalent
quantity in units.

## When the quantity does not close the package

If the number is not a multiple of the product's packaging, it is underlined with
a short mark below, and the line's drawer gets the **Quantity not a
multiple** notice, with:

- the sentence **The package closes at N units.**;
- **Round to a full package:** a field where you type how many
  packages you want, and the line moves to the closed total;
- **dismiss the alert**, when your store only warns about multiples (accepting
the broken number is your decision).

When the store requires multiples the notice is stronger, but it does not block sending:
what changes is that the ERP may reject the order later.

## Line with zero quantity

Zero quantity does not delete the line: it stays, with the **Zero
quantity** notice: "This line has zero quantity and will NOT go on the order." In the
drawer itself there is **remove from order**. ⚠️ While a zeroed line exists,
**Send estimate** is refused: fix the quantity or remove the line.

## Where to type the line's additional discount

The additional discount is the concession you give on a specific line, **on
top of** the customer's automatic discount.

**On a computer:**

1. Click **Show price and discounts ▸**, above the table.
2. In the **Discount** group, the **Item** column is your concession. Click the
value (or the "-", if there is none yet).
3. Type the percentage, a decimal comma works ("12,5"), and press Enter. Esc
   cancels.

An invalid value is not saved: **Enter a percentage between 0 and 100** appears
and the field stays open with what you typed.

**On a phone:** tap the price block of the card (it has a pencil). A
sheet opens with **Additional discount (%)** ("On the price already with the automatic
discount") and the **Apply** button. When the store has a cap, the field shows
"max N".

The **Effective** column shows the line's total discount already combined, and **General**
shows the part that came from the document.

If the additional discount you type on the line goes over the store's concession
cap, it **is not saved**: a notice appears saying it is over the store's limit,
and the line price keeps the discount that was already saved. Type a percentage within the limit:
the field's "max N" shows what it is. (What gets lowered on its own, with a notice, is the
manual discount of the whole document. See [How the price of a quote line is built](/en/ajuda/como-o-preco-de-uma-linha-e-formado).)

## Manual discount for the whole document

Above the lines, in the quote editor, sits the **General discounts** card. It
comes closed; when a general discount applies, the header already shows the
document's effective percentage (for example, "-7,5%"). Open, it shows the
breakdown of the automatic discount and the **Manual discount (%)** field:
"Overrides automatic discounts".

- The manual one **replaces** the automatic discount of the whole document; it does not add
to it. When empty, the field shows in gray the automatic one in effect.
- The value is saved when you leave the field or press Enter; Esc undoes what
  you typed.
- Deleting the number and leaving the field goes back to the automatic discount.
- Outside 0 to 100, the screen warns **Enter a percentage between 0 and 100** and does not
  save.
- In a purchase with orders from more than one store, the manual one is saved on **all the
orders of the purchase** at once.

The manual one is different from the line's additional discount: the additional one applies to a
single line and is applied **on top of** its price; the manual one replaces the automatic
discount of every line.

The store's concession cap applies here too, measured on how far the manual one goes
beyond the automatic one: above it, saving is refused with a notice. If the manual one fit and
later a change in the document (quantity, customer, payment terms) makes it stop
fitting, it is lowered on its own, with a notice. See [How the price of a quote line is built](/en/ajuda/como-o-preco-de-uma-linha-e-formado).

## Fixed price and base price: which to type

They are two ways to type a price on the line, and they do opposite things:

- **Fixed price** is the final price: discounts stop at it. You type 90, the
  customer pays 90.
- **Base price** replaces the price table price of that line, and the customer's discounts
and your concession run on top. You type 90 with a 10% discount,
  the customer pays 81.

**On a computer:** the fixed price is typed by clicking the number in the
**Price** column ("Click to set the final price"); it turns blue. The base price
is typed, with the detail open, by clicking the **Table** column ("Click to
set this line's base price — discounts run on top"); the line
gets the **base** badge. Clearing the field and confirming returns the line to the table.

**On a phone:** the same discount sheet shows both levels side by side,
each with today's value, under "What I'm typing". Tap the one you
want, and the field label changes to **Base price (R$)** or **Fixed price
(R$)**. A preview shows the new price and the approximate total before
**Apply**. With a fixed price, changing the price clears the discount and vice versa
(one cancels the other); with a base price, both apply together.

## Why can't I type a price on this line

Three possible reasons:

- **The store does not allow it.** Your company's administrator decides whether the seller
can type a base price, a fixed price, both or neither. Without permission, the
cell is not clickable. A price already typed before can still be
  undone.
- **The line has no catalog product.** A base price only exists for a line
matched to a product: there is no table to replace on a line that was not
  found.
- **The document is not being edited.** Outside editing the list is read-only.

## Show price and discounts

The **Show price and discounts ▸** button (on a computer, above the table, next
to "Show:") opens the columns that tell the price's story: **Adjustment**,
**Table**, **Promotion**, the **Discount** group (**General**, **Item**,
**Effective**), **Packaging**, **Total excl. tax** and one column per tax. Only
the columns that have content in that quote appear. The line total never
disappears: **Total incl. tax** when the quote has tax; without tax it is called
**Total excl. tax**, and then it is the only total column.

With the detail open, offers from another source also appear under the price:
"Last paid: R$ X" (the last price this customer paid) and "Negotiated: R$ X"
(the price written in the order), with **Use** when that price can be applied
to the line.

To close it, **Hide price and discounts ◂**. The choice is kept in this
browser: the next quote opens the same way.

## Where this price comes from (the ⓘ)

The ⓘ icon next to the price ("Where this price comes from") opens the line's
breakdown: **Base** (which table or promotion), **Discount** (each step, including
those that were evaluated and suppressed), the **Price** per unit and the effective
discount over the table. With tax, it shows each tax per unit and ends
at **Price incl. taxes**; the quantity and total stay in the line's columns. Where editing is possible, the
**Adjust price or discount** button opens the same editor as the phone sheet.

## Change the order of the lines

1. Click **Reorder**, above the table.
2. Arrows appear next to each code: **Upload** and **Move down**.
3. When you are done, click **Done reordering**.

The order you leave is the order of the PDF, the Excel file and the order in the ERP. The button only
exists with the document being edited.

## Delete a line

The trash can at the end of the line (or in the corner of the card) is **Delete**. On an order
split among branches it becomes **Delete item (all branches)** and asks for
confirmation ("Delete … from all N branches?"), because the line leaves
every destination at once. A line that only mirrors an item from another order
of the same purchase has no trash can here: it is handled in the order where it lives.

## Common questions

**I typed 90 and the line shows 81.** You typed a base price, and the customer's
discount ran on top. For the customer to pay exactly 90, use a fixed
price.

**The fields turned gray for a moment.** While a change is being
saved, the table warns "Saving the change… this table's controls come back
when the server responds." Wait for the response.

**I don't see the Item column.** Open **Show price and discounts ▸**. If even
then it does not appear, your store does not work with seller discounts.

**Where are the line's notices?** In the line's drawer. See [Line notices: the Check badge, the drawer and the review panel](/en/ajuda/avisos-da-linha).
